Sew and Design Workshop for Middle Schoolers

In this week long workshop, expect to learn various aspects of hand and machine sewing that are project driven. You will learn to:
* ruche ribbon for clothing embellishment
*sew a basic black summer knit skirt
*construct a zippered monogrammed makeup or jewelry bag
*make covered buttons for a bracelet or necklace
*make a difference by sewing a simple dress that will be donated to the Little Dresses For Africa project where your garment will be sent to a little girl in Africa.

Come see how fun and fulfilling it is to sew!

Session One - FULL
June 7 - 11
1-5 p.m.

Session Two
August 2 - 6
1-5 p.m.

$200 for the week or $45 per day if you can't attend the entire workshop.

 

Beginning Stitchers - Girls Ages 8 - 10
Especially for the youngest stitchers, we will have a great day of hand and machine sewing. Lots of fun projects that will get you excited about sewing! Saturday, June 26

Decorative Pillows
Learn to make gorgeous pillows for any room in your home. An easy way to change it up... Another great class for beginners.

T-Shirt Quilts
Even if you have never sewn, you can do this! It is a wonderful gift that can be adapted to small projects (pillows) or large ones - a full size quilt. You will learn how to cut the shirts, stitch the blocks, and assemble the rows. Standard piecing as well as applique will be taught.
