The art of sewing is making a comeback and Stitch wants to fuel your passion for creating one-of-a kind clothing, gifts, and home fashions! Enjoy the collaborative atmosphere of sewing with others while at the same time avoiding the mess in your own home! Whether you have never sewn or want to sharpen your existing skills, you will be amazed by what you can make with all the equipment that is in the studio. |
- Once you complete the intro course called StitchBasics, you can "sew on your own" by reserving a station for $10/hour. You can BYOP (bring your own project) and let the creativity flow. Friendly assistance is always available!
- You can sign up for classes and workshops.
- You can arrange private instruction.
- We love the idea of special events - bridal showers, birthday parties, girls nights, etc. We can help you design the party and project.
Five SewStations - everything at your fingertips to make your sewing experience efficient and enjoyable:
- A Janome 3500 computerized sewing machine
- Sewing tools and notions (scissors, rotary cutter, tape measure, sewing gauge, pins, etc.)
- Iron and ironing mat
- Small cutting mat
- Task lighting
- Adjustable chair
Janome Embroidery Machine - This amazing machine can monogram your projects - experience the fun of personalizing your creations.
Bernina Serger - for fast overlocking and professional-looking seams.
Large Cutting Table - makes pattern layout and cutting fabric a snap.
Sitting Area - with fireplace and mini-coffee bar - ahhhh, when you need a break!

*Please Note: There will be no regular hours the week of August 2-9 but if you would like to sew in the studio or have a private lesson, please call Lydia Hirsh at 745-9332 or Sally Godschalk at 984-0174 and they will happily make arrangements to meet you there!
Thursdays 5-8 p.m. - Stitch Café – a night to sew, eat, drink, have fun, and make a difference. Proceeds donated to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
